Before submitting any document to be published, please place a copy in the Pinboard under the menu Document Server, for the benefit of colleagues at the laboratory, and announce this by sending a mail message to fusion@ciemat.es.

Document sharing and useful external services
- Sharing a document on the Document Server with other users inside the laboratory: right-click on the file name of the document in the Document Server, and select ‘Copy link’ (‘Copiar ruta’). Then paste this link in an email message. The recipient of the email must be logged in to intranet to access the file.
- Sharing a document on the Document Server with other users in general: obtain the link as in the previous point and use the Link Convertor. The recipient of an email containing the converted link then does not have to be logged in to access the document.
- Sharing documents in general with third parties outside the laboratory: the first option is the CIEMAT FileSender service. Another possible option is using external file sharing services (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).
- Elaborating a document collaboratively between various users: Google Docs allows elaborating individual “Office” type documents by simultaneously editing them among various users – instead of sending revisions back and forth by email. Similar facilities for Latex are Overleaf or Papeeria.
- Planning meeting dates: Doodle is a useful service to set meeting dates everyone can attend.
Uploading large documents (> 100MB)
The file size of uploads is limited to 100 MB (more than enough for most purposes). To copy larger files to the intranet site, please contact the administrator.
Searching the intranet
The intranet is not generally accessible from outside CIEMAT, hence Google Search cannot be used. Therefore, an internal search system, based on ‘mdfind’, has been made available.
